Introduction-
"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable men
who will also be qualified to teach others."
2 Tim 2:2

African Leadership
Development is a ministry born out of the need of the Church in
Africa. In a continent where the Gospel has been faithfully preached and
God’s Word has reached the furthest of villages, it is essential that
the African Church root itself in deep Biblical teaching and truth as it
matures and grows. Many have said that, "the church in Africa is a mile
wide and an inch deep", and so for such a time as this, ALD
(African Leadership Development) finds itself to be a critical ministry
involved in the nurturing of indigenous African leadership to ensure the
African Church prevails in the years to come.
African Leadership Development's mission is to:
Assist the Church, by
Mentoring,
Empowering, and
Networking Leaders in Africa and the Church world-wide.
African Leadership Development
has been serving the Church in Africa for more than 10 years now.
Pastoral training through one-on-one discipleship and mentoring has
proved to be the effective tool to transfer Biblical leadership
principles. The age-old adage that the best lessons are caught rather
than taught can be said of mentoring and Biblical discipleship in Africa
today. As we intentionally do life together we learn from each other. As
we walk together we share the truth of God’s Word in relationship and
this we believe is the much-needed discipleship that will strengthen and
grow the Church leadership in Southern Africa.
Leadership conferences, workshops,
literature and materials help in the training and growth of local
pastors too. ALD seeks to empower growth in local churches by
encouraging holistic ministry in these churches communities. We come
alongside church leadership teams and assess the needs of their
communities. Together we will ask God for wisdom and come up with
solutions. ALD will assist Churches in finding resources to help meet
those needs and so empower growth. It is not about giving answers but
coming alongside and help fan into flame the gifts already there. We are
in agreement with the goal to find “African solutions for African
problems”.
